LES CLARK

PRESIDENT AND CEO

For more than forty years Les Clark has been involved in the world of Audio Visual. What began as summer employment servicing jukeboxes and pinball machines became a full-time career, after attending DeVry Tech in Toronto and SAIT in Calgary. In 1967, when film was still king, Les began his AV apprenticeship in Calgary.
When Vancouver beckoned he continued to hone his Audio Visual skills, until in 1981, he opened Clark’s Audio Visual Services Ltd. A company that is renowned for exceptional personal service. Les Clark is in the AV business for the long-haul.

MARK HAPPENEY

GENERAL MANAGER

For over 15 years Mark has been a key member of the Clark’s family. Over that time he has developed an outstanding knowledge of the finer details of the events industry. Having serviced many roles within the company he gained great insight into the inner workings of the business, as well as, the creative application of innovative technology. In 2004 Mark was promoted to the position of General Manager. Since then he has been dedicated to growing the company with a focus on customer service and unique solutions.

JAMES DOWNEY

ASSISTANT MANAGER

For the past 10 years James has been an integral part of the team. With a wide variety of responsibilities, he has built many great relationships with clients and service providers. In addition to managing the accounts department, his outstanding knowledge of company operations, lead to his promotion to Assistant Manager. With his ability to provide a depth of skills based on years of experience. James assists in maintaining the quality and standards Clark’s has become renown for.

ANTHONY VADE

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Clark’s AV’s Australian import, Anthony, has in a very short time developed a reputation for a no nonsense approach to technical production management. With over 15 years experience in the live events and media industry, Anthony has a wealth of experience that can assist Clark’s AV clients get the most out of their events.
Having spearheaded many innovative and unique event design concepts both in North America and Australia. Anthony can recommend designs and equipment that can make your event stand out from the rest.

JERRY RABEY

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Jerry’s Involvement in Audio Visual goes back over a decade in various roles and areas of the Industry. His belief in customer focused service drives his desire to not only meet customer expectations but exceed them. His experiences have provided him the skill set and knowledge to ensure our staff and products match our high level of customer service. Therefore, providing our customers with peace of mind throughout all stages of their projects.

JESSE MARTIN

SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Jesse loves working in the AV industry as it allows him to see the clients vision come to life. Jesse draws inspiration from our industry that constantly evolving and is driven by the desire to evolve with it. Through his ever growing knowledge of all things technical, he is assists our event planning partners in implementing events that stand out from the competition. Working closely with the rest of the technical management team, Jesse thrives on improving the quality and standards of all of Clark’s AV technical inventory and strategies.

EDDY SIMS

HOTEL AV SERVICES MANAGER

Eddy is one of Clark’s longest standing employees. He has been an highly valued part of the team since the late 80’s, working in Quality Control and as Hotel AV Services Manager at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites. He has built a great relationship with the hotel and it would be fair to say, that today not only does he manage the hotels AV services, but has become part of the family.

DAN YAKIMOW

HOTEL AV SERVICES MANAGER

Dan entered the audio visual industry as so many do, through his passion and love of music. As a talented drummer, he was drawn to learn more about the audio industry. After completing technical production studies at the Art Institute of Vancouver he quickly entered the industry. Where his skill set grew to encompass the wider world of audio visual production. His dedication and work ethic have made him a perfect fit at the Renaissance Hotel. His love of cutting edge technology and desire to develop his business acumen make him a very welcome addition to the Clark’s team.

TIM ROCQUE

AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Tim has developed a wide range of skills in a short time. Having worked in both the live AV and integration industries he has a great understanding of what it takes to make the show happen. He loves nothing more than seeing fear and stress disappear from his clients eyes. In his time at Clark’s has developed a reputation for professionalism and unwavering dedication to technological responsibility and one on one customer service. A keen big mountain skier, he believes that no calculated risk is a danger if you have the technical skills and tools to undertake it.

TRAVIS LEE

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Travis joined out team as Quality Control and Warehouse Manager. His work ethic and attention to detail ensures our inventory is well maintained and catalogued. In turn guarantying, our clients get audio visual technology that is reliable and of high standard. His passion for skateboarding and over-priced coffee enable him to have the resiliency and energy to get through the mountains of equipment that go in and out of our warehouse on a daily basis.
