LES CLARK

PRESIDENT AND CEO

For more than forty years Les Clark has been involved in the world of Audio Visual. What began as summer employment servicing jukeboxes and pinball machines became a full-time career, after attending DeVry Tech in Toronto and SAIT in Calgary. In 1967, when film was still king, Les began his AV apprenticeship in Calgary.
When Vancouver beckoned he continued to hone his Audio Visual skills, until in 1981, he opened Clark’s Audio Visual Services Ltd. A company that is renowned for exceptional personal service. Les Clark is in the AV business for the long-haul.

MARK HAPPENEY

GENERAL MANAGER

Mark started with Clark’s in 1995. His first position was onsite AV manager for the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. In this position he gained a wealth of experience in both the technical aspects of the business as well as customer service. In 1999 he was promoted to Special Events Manager in charge of conferences and staging events. He remained in this role for 4 years, meeting and working closely with a variety of conference planning, companies, private organizations, and production companies.
In 2004 Mark was promoted to General Manager and has held this position ever since.

JAMES DOWNEY

ASSISTANT MANAGER

James joined Clark’s in 2002 with a long list of responsibilities that encompasses accounts receivable and payable, credit management and client relations.
As an integral part of the company, he now fills the role of Assistant Manager, working closely with our staff and clients in all areas of service and support.

ANTHONY VADE

TECHNICAL MANAGER

Clark’s AV’s Australian import, Anthony, has in a very short time developed a reputation for a no nonsense approach to technical production management. With over 15 years experience in the live events and media industry, Anthony has a wealth of experience that can assist Clark’s AV clients get the most out of their events.
Having spearheaded many innovative and unique event design concepts both in North America and Australia. Anthony can recommend designs and equipment that can make your event stand out from the rest.

CHRIS LANGFORD

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Chris started at Clark’s in 2003 as a general audio visual technician, where quickly learned the basics of working in Audio Visual. In 2004 he was promoted to Audio Visual Service Manager at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel, a position that emphasised the importance of customer service.
In 2011 Chris was appointed as Operations Manager at Clark’s, overseeing all of our day to day operations and labour requirements.
Chris enjoys customizing and riding motorcycles, skateboarding and music.

MICHELLE LAM

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Michelle joined the Clark’s Audio Visual team in 2010 with a Diploma of Technology in Marketing Management from BCIT. Her friendly persona and professional manner are important assets to both Clark’s and our clients.
Michelle’s responsibilities in the office include managing incoming and outgoing client communication, preparing quotations and invoicing, general administrative duties, and greeting all guests with a smile. As Michelle continues to grow in this position, achieving her Bachelors in Business Administration will be accomplished in the near future.

EDDY SIMS

HOTEL AV SERVICES MANAGER

Eddy was hired in 1987 for quality control and is Clark’s longest standing employee, aside from Les. Within a few months of being hired Eddy began working as a general technician and was promoted to Hotel technician in 1993 for the Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites. Eddy still holds that same position at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites and is responsible for the day to day operations of audio visual services.
Eddy enjoys dining out, good food, good wine, good friends and travelling.

JERRY RABEY

HOTEL AV SERVICES MANAGER

Jerry began working for Clark’s in 2010 but has many years of experience working within the audio visual industry. He has had the opportunity to be involved in both Hospitality and Corporate Audio Visual integration. Both sectors have provided him with the training and tools to ensure that every event or project is a success.

Jerry also enjoys swimming, reading and travel.

CAM BENSON

HOTEL AV SERVICES MANAGER

Cam started working for Clark’s as a freelance technician in 2009. After being recognized for his AV knowledge, work ethic and experience, Cam was hired for the position of Audio Visual Services Manager for the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel. His past experience and training includes being a High Honours PAVI Graduate, working with Live Venue Sound and Recording as well as Studio Recording.
Cam is interested in all things music, skateboarding and coffee.
