Located in the False Creek Flats area of beautiful Vancouver, this renovated mid-1950’s locomotive maintenance building is a unique venue for your very special event. This classic, vintage rail building was remodeled by Rocky Mountaineer for use as their Train Station.

Combining a nostalgic feel with contemporary design, this bright and flexible 20,000 square foot space includes an exposed timber and brick interior, large glass windows, 35 ft vaulted ceilings, with metal beams and drive-in access through three overhead doors. All materials selected reflect the Canadian Rockies in their colour and texture while the overall design shows a flow, attention to detail and flexibility in the space so you can create your Event of a Lifetime.

The station caters to large gala and corporate events, charity fundraisers, weddings, concerts, festivals, markets and other private functions.

ART EXHIBIT SHOWS POWER OF COMMUNICATION IN LOVE AND DIVERSITY

May 30 – June 12, Pendulum Gallery (HSBC Bldg., 885 W. Georgia) Vancouver, B.C.

A photographic artist and a couple of hundred people she recruited are spreading powerful words through a unique and innovative art exhibit. Love is a Many Splendoured Thing opened in Vancouver’s downtown core this June with a message that aims to counter negativity, hatred and fear in today’s world. Artist Jasna Stojanovic (Yasna Stoyanovich) —a Vancouver-based people, product and fine art photographer — created a multi-channel video installation using individual portraits of 200 participants of diverse ages and backgrounds who, using American Sign Language, express the words from the project’s title phrase. The changing images will ran non-stop on six screens throughout the course of the exhibit. Each screen represents one word from the title and communicates a message of core human values in an intriguing way.
